BSNL’s loss reduced in the financial year 2020-21, revenue also declined

New Delhi. Public sector telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited ie BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has a consolidated loss of Rs 7,441.11 crore in the financial year 2020-21 ended March 31. Giving this information, a BSNL official said that the company’s loss in the previous financial year was Rs 15,499.58 crore.

The official said that this reduction in deficit is mainly due to reduction in wages due to voluntary retirement of 78,569 employees. That is, if these employees do not take voluntary retirement, then this time also BSNL would have to suffer a huge loss and there is no such reduction in it.

Operating income down 1.6 per cent to Rs 18,595.12 crore
He said that in the financial year 2020-21, the company’s operating income declined by 1.6 percent to Rs 18,595.12 crore from Rs 18,906.56 crore in the previous financial year. The outstanding debt on the company increased to Rs 27,033.6 crore during the year. A year ago it was Rs 21,674.74 crore.

BSNL’s cheap plan launched on the occasion of Eid
