Facility will be available at so many outlets of Indian Oil- According to the statement, in the first phase, around 3,000 Indian Oil retail outlets will be covered across India. The system will work with IndianOil’s automation system, which eliminates any manual intervention during the refueling process. This partnership allows payment of petrol, diesel and lubricants through ICICI Bank FASTag.

To avail this facility, users have to inform the customer attendant at the time of refueling, who will then scan the vehicle’s FASTag/car number plate. After which an OTP will be sent to the customer for refueling. After entering the OTP in the POS machine, the transaction process will be completed.
Help is available in cashless transactions at toll plazas FASTag is currently used for digital toll collection on national highways in the country. The objective of FASTag is to make the toll collection process faster and easier and reduce the waiting time or long queues at toll plazas. FASTag currently has about 35 million users across India.

FASTags can be purchased at any toll booth across the country. An ID is required along with your vehicle registration documents to buy FASTag. Apart from toll plazas, FASTag can be purchased through 22 banks including State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank and Paytm Payments Bank. Some e-commerce platforms like Paytm, Amazon and Flipkart also offer FASTag through their app.
