Facing many problems including login problem
The government has received complaints from tax professionals, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and taxpayers. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha that Infosys, the company that created the new e-filing website, has been informed about the difficulties being faced in the functioning of the portal. Infosys has said that continuous work is being done to remove the problems coming in the new website of Income Tax Department. Users had told that even after trying several times, login was not happening. At the same time, there was also a problem in downloading Form-26AS.

FM Sitharaman had instructed Infosys to fix it immediately
In the new income tax return portal, taxpayers were initially facing problems regarding the speed. Apart from this, there were technical problems in many options on the portal and some were not working. Infosys is slowly fixing them. Explain that the Center had launched a new website (new income tax e-filing portal) in June 2021 for filing income tax returns. With the launch of the new e-filing portal, taxpayers were facing many problems. Taking cognizance, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a meeting with Infosys officials. He instructed to remove the problems of the portal soon.
