The latest news is that the Gangotri National Highway has been blocked due to landslides. This is the same Uttarkashi district, where two days ago on Monday there was devastation due to cloudburst. Three people were killed in Mando village and many houses were hit by heavy rains.

News agency ANI reported in the latest tweet on Wednesday morning that the National Highway has been blocked due to landslide near Sunagarh area of ​​Uttarkashi district. The blocking of Gangotri National Highway has become a problem due to heavy rains this year. Earlier on 12th July also this highway was closed for the same reason. However, then this landslide took place in the Dabrani area.

About half a dozen villages were cut off from the headquarters due to this landslide a week ago. However, after eight to ten hours of relief work, this highway could be opened then. It is also worth mentioning that on Monday itself, 250 roads were closed after torrential rains in the hill districts, many of which have not been opened yet.
