District Disaster Management Officer Manoj Pandey, while giving information about 150 people trapped in Champawat on Wednesday, said that there was a traffic jam on the way to Vishram Ghat due to the debris falling on the highway. Between Tuesday and Wednesday, landslides occurred at eight places on this highway, in which about 150 people got stuck. Pandey claims that till Tuesday evening, debris was removed at seven places.

People evacuated from Devidhura via Haldwani
Stranded people were evacuated from place to place on the highway of Champawat via Devidhura via Haldwani. However, people remained stranded due to blockade of the road towards Vishram Ghat. According to the last update reports quoting Pandey, about two dozen people were stranded. It is also worth mentioning that the Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of heavy rains in some parts of Uttarakhand including Champawat.

CM said, displace the village
On the other hand, on Wednesday, CM Dhami met the families of the victims of cloudburst in Mando village of Uttarkashi and assured all possible cooperation. The CM, who reached the villages along with cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi, also ordered the district collector to displace Mando village. Here in two villages, the CM met and talked to people from house to house. During this, the CM talked about giving 1 lakh rupees to the kin of the deceased from the CM Relief Fund and 4 lakhs from the Disaster Relief Fund.
