New Delhi. The Taigun is an important model for German car manufacturer Volkswagen to launch in India. There has been a lot of excitement about this compact SUV ever since it was showcased as a concept at the beginning of last year. It is based on the MQB A0 IN platform. Its launch will take place in the third week of September. Along with this, delivery to the customers will also be started. The bookings for the Taigun will start from the middle of next month. With this, its production will also start at the company’s Pune plant.

Volkswagen is launching it ahead of the festive season. In this, customers will get many options according to their needs. The Taigun and Skoda’s recently launched Kushaq share the same platform. However, Volkswagen says that it will be different from the Kushaq. Its exterior design has changed. Apart from this, its interior is also different and some new features have been given in it.

A major difference can be seen in the Taigun in the form of a fully digital instrument cluster. It can be like the virtual cockpit of Audi cars. With this, the look of the cabin of the car will look premium. Volkswagen also showcased the Tiguan along with the Taigun last year. However, the company says that its launch will be delayed due to the second wave of Corona.
Apart from this, the company does not want that the launch of two SUVs in a row makes it difficult for the customers to decide on their purchase. Due to this the launch of Tiguan has been postponed.
