New Delhi. The Modi government has made a big announcement regarding medical students. A historic decision has been taken by the government in the field of medical education in the country. Now under All India quota, 27% reservation will be given to OBC students and 10% to weaker income group (EWS) students in undergraduate / post graduate, medical and dental education. Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has given this information by tweeting. Mandaviya has written in his tweet, ‘This decision will benefit 5,550 students coming from OBC and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) for admission in medical and dental education. For the upliftment of the backward and weaker income groups in the country, the government is committed to giving them reservation.
PM Modi also gave his reaction on this decision. PM Modi has tweeted and said that this decision will help a lot for the students coming in the medical field.
