Navratri Foods: During the nine days of fasting during Navratri, every day a big problem remains that which food items should be made for fruit diet. In most cases, traditional dishes like Sabudana Khichdi, Sabudana Vada are prepared. However, it is natural to get bored by eating the same fruit every day. If you are also bored with similar fruits, then today we are going to tell you how to make fasting dosa. Not only will this change the taste of your mouth, but it will be light on the stomach as well as full of energy.
We will mainly use sama rice (going fast) and sabudana for making fasting dosa. We are going to tell you some simple steps, by following them, you can easily make and eat delicious fasting dosa at home.

Ingredients for Vrat Wala Dosa

Sama rice – 1 cup
Sabudana – 4 tsp
Boiled potatoes – 2
Sugar – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
Green chilies finely chopped – 2
Ginger grated – 1 piece
Peanuts – 1 tbsp
Coriander chopped – 1/2 cup
Cumin – 1 tsp
Rock salt – as per taste

How to make Vrat Wala Dosa
To prepare Vrat Wala Dosa, first take sama rice and sago and add sugar to them, put this mixture in a mixer grinder and make a fine powder. When the powder is formed, take it out in a bowl. Now add black pepper, rock salt to this powder. Now dilute the mixture to make dosa. Keep in mind that the batter should be so thin as is done while making normal dosa. Now take a pan and keep it to heat. Now add peanuts and dry roast it. After doing this for about a minute, add ghee to it.
After this add cumin, green chili and ginger and fry for 1 minute. Now take potatoes and mash them well and put them in it. After this add black pepper powder, coriander leaves and rock salt and mix it well. After cooking it for some time, turn off the flame and take out the stuffing and keep it in a plate.

Now keep the gas on high flame and let the tawa heat up. Now pour oil on it and clean it with the help of tissue paper. Now take the prepared mater for dosa and put it in the middle of the pan. After this spread it from the middle like a normal dosa. Now spread some oil all around and let the dosa sink well. After sometime turn the dosa over and let it cook from the other side as well.
Roast the dosa till its color becomes light golden brown. If you want, you can fill the stuffing inside the dosa or you can take out the dosa in a plate and serve the stuffing separately. In this way your fasting dosa is ready. Eat it yourself and get the other members of the house who are fasting tested too.
