New Delhi. IT giant Wipro on Wednesday announced its financial results for the second quarter of the current financial year (2021-22). The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,930.6 crore for the quarter ended September 2021, registering a growth of 17 per cent. With this, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 2,484.4 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.
Wipro said it has crossed the ‘run rate’ of revenue of $10 billion (Rs 75,300 crore) on an annual basis. Wipro’s consolidated income jumped nearly 30 per cent to Rs 19,667.4 crore during the quarter as against Rs 15,114.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Wipro Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte said, “The Q2 results show that our strategy is working well. For the second consecutive quarter, we have registered a growth of over 4.5 per cent on a quarter-on-quarter basis. This has resulted in our growth of 28 per cent year-on-year in the first half of the current financial year.

The company said its IT services business grew by 29.5 per cent year-on-year to Rs 19,378.38 crore.
