New Delhi. More than 60 percent work of Chardham all weather road has been completed. Minister of State for Road Transport VK Singh recently inspected this road and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the construction work. He said that the remaining work will also be completed soon. After the road is ready, the number of tourists will increase in Uttarakhand, the movement of local people will be easy. The Ministry of Road Transport is building an 889 km long all-weather road, whose work is divided into 53 packages.
Union Minister of State VK Singh recently inspected NH 68, NH 109 along with Chardham. During this, while visiting village Gunji of Pithoragarh, 70 km from Lipulekh, he also saw the construction works being done by the Border Roads Organization. He said that with the construction of Chardham Yatra Road, tourists and local residents will get better facilities to go to every district of Uttarakhand.

60 percent work completed
In total 889 km of road, 673 km of work has been awarded. Out of this, a road of 550 km has been completed. That is, tourists can reach from Rishikesh to Rudraprayag in two and a half to three hours. In this way more than 60 percent work has been completed. After the construction of this road, convenient travel can be done from Rishikesh to Karnprayag.
