He said that the players should work hard in their game and perform well, the Delhi government will not allow them to lack facilities.

The Deputy CM said that there is no dearth of talent among the youth in Delhi. The Delhi government will work to fulfill our dreams by providing world-class facilities to our youth. He said that in the last few years, the Delhi Government has developed great facilities in stadiums like Thyagaraj Stadium, Chhatrasal Stadium, East-Vinod Nagar Sports Complex, Rajiv Gandhi in Poonth Kalan and Bawana etc. Along with this, 3 artificial football grounds of international standards have also been developed by the government at Carr, Mundela and Anandwas to promote football and provide world-class facilities to the players.

Through this type of football tournament, the Delhi government’s vision is to develop a sports culture in Delhi’s schools, colleges at par with international level leagues, where top clubs from across Delhi can participate. Tournament will run for two months, there will be 98 matches between 20 teams

Under 18 and under 22 age group players will be able to participate in the tournament.

-The winning team of the tournament will be given a prize money of Rs 5 lakh, the runner-up team, the third place team will get Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively

The player who scored the most goals will get the ‘Golden Boot Award’ along with a prize money of Rs 1 lakh.

Matches will be organized in 5 different stadiums of Delhi, live telecast of matches will also be done.
