Similar incidents have happened in Britain and France as well. Spanish police are investigating attacks involving syringes in crowded places. In the last few weeks such incidents have been reported to the police. At the same time, many people are writing about this attack on social media too. In the reported cases, it is feared that the attacker is attacking women by mixing narcotics in syringes to sexually assault them.

According to the news agency AFP, no traces of drugs or other toxic products have been found so far. Along with this, no case of related sexual violence has been reported after the needle attack. In the past few weeks, the police have registered 23 cases in Catalonia. Most of which have been recorded in the tourist cities of Lloret de Mar and Barcelona and 12 in the Basque Country.

Difficult to trace attacker
According to Basque police, the attackers mostly target young women. The attack pattern is almost identical. Usually a young woman is attacked when she is going out of the party. In the attack, the needle is pricked in the arm or leg and then there is dizziness or sleepiness. At present, it is difficult to trace the attacker.

The police have appealed to the people that those who feel that they have been targeted, they should go to the health center as soon as possible. Along with this, the related incident must be reported to the police. Cases of needle attacks have been reported in Britain in 2021 and in France this year.
