Arunima Singh told that when she was studying Masters from Lucknow University, she had come to Kukrail Gharial Center for the first time. When she met her mentor Shailendra Singh here, she gave information about alligators, dolphins, crocodiles and tortoises. His interest arose and he decided to make it his passion. It was here that he got all the information related to these animals and started going on their safe rescue operation, then he started liking it.
20 dolphins and 10 alligators have been saved
Arunima Singh told that till now she has done rescue operation of more than 10 alligators and crocodiles. Apart from this, she has saved the lives of more than 20 dolphins. Not only this, Arunima saved the lives of more than 30 thousand turtles by transporting them to safe places. She has also set an example. For which she was honored with the ‘NatWest Earth Heroes’ award by the Royal Bank of Scotland in view of her works.
Bhopal’s rescue operation was the most dangerous
He told that the rescue operation of Bhopal, which was related to alligators, was the most dangerous because the forest department team was not able to do the rescue operation of those crocodiles. Then they called Arunima Singh’s team from Lucknow. When Arunima When she reached there, she saw that alligators were spread over a very large area and it was very difficult to rescue them from there. Despite this, she played on her life and rescued all the alligators and brought them to safe places. She further tells that she has to make her career further in this field and saving the lives of the voiceless has become the real purpose of her life.
