About 1.5 lakh people die every year

Till now cars come with two airbags. The people sitting behind do not have airbags for them. An airbag costs ₹800.
Security has to be given priority
Earlier, Gadkari had quoted the World Road Statistics (WRS) 2018 data to say that India is at number three in the list of countries with the highest number of road accidents. India is planning to launch its own safety rating testing agency Bharat NCAP for vehicles by next year. It is believed that if the number of airbags in cars is increased, then this can lead to a significant increase in the price. However, the general consensus is that security should be a priority.
