The Technical Evaluation Committee of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has approved a proposal to increase 803 seats in Post Graduate (PG) courses in 5 Government Medical Colleges (5 Government Medical Colleges) in Madhya Pradesh. 521 crore 74 lakh 45 thousand rupees will be spent on increasing these seats. While 60 percent of this expenditure will be borne by the Central Government and 40 percent by the Kamal Nath government.

With the approval of the Central Government, 85 in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College Jabalpur, 88 in Shyam Shah Medical College Rewa, 91 in Gajraraja Medical College Gwalior, 169 in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Indore, 85 in Bundelkhand Medical College Sagar and Gandhi Medical College Bhopal will increase 285 seats.

Principal Secretary Medical Education Shivshekhar Shukla informed that the proposal to increase seats in 17 PG courses has been approved in the second phase for the Government Medical College of Jabalpur. With this, five, two, three and ten seats will increase in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine (DM) respectively. With this, in the second phase, two each in Pathology, Psychiatric, Radio Diagnosis, 6 in Pharmacology, 4 in Ophthalmology, one in ENT, 18 in General Medicine, 8 in General Surgery, 7 in Orthopedics, 5 in Radiation Oncology, in Respiratory There will be an increase of 3 seats in 5 and Neuro surgery, whose estimated expenditure is about Rs 93 crore.

Rewa’s college will have this advantage
In Rewa’s Government Shyam Shah Medical College, there will be an increase of 3 seats for Bio-Chemistry and Forensic Medicine, 4 in Otorhinolaryngology, 4 for Radio Diagnosis and 2 seats for Dermatology, Venereology and Leprism. Also 4 of anatomy, 5 of physiology, 8 of pathology, 3 of pharmacology, 4 of community medicine, 4 of ophthalmology, 8 of general medicine, 6 of general surgery, 7 of orthopedics, 5 of gynecology, 5 of pediatrics, 3 of anesthesiology 14 and one seat in Psychiatry will be increased, on which an amount of Rs 77.17 crore will be spent.

This change will happen in Gwalior College
In Gwalior Government Medical College, 8 of Anatomy, 6 of Physiology, 10 of Pathology, 7 of Microbiology, 8 of Pharmacology, 7 of Community Medicine, 5 of Orthopedics, 11 of General Surgery, 4 of Anesthesiology, 8 of Gynecology, 8 of General 10 of Medicine, 4 of Radio Diagnosis and 3 of Pediatrics will increase, on which about 60 crores will be spent.

So many seats came in the parts of Indore, Sagar and Bhopal
Among the seats approved by the Center, there will be an increase of 169 PG seats in Government Medical College, Indore from 175 crore 63 lakh. These include anatomy, physiology, 8 each of anesthesia, 10 of bio-chemistry, 15 of pathology, 14 of microbiology, 7 of forensic medicine, 14 of community medicine, one of dermatology, 5 of radio diagnosis, 20 of surgery, 8 of anesthesia. , 5 of Orthopedics, 21 of Medicine, 6 of Psychiatry, 10 of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 5 of Transfusion Medicine and 4 of ENT.

Whereas Government Medical College of Sagar has 2-2 of Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Radio Diagnosis, Community Medicine, 3-3 of Ophthalmology, 9 of Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, 5-5 of ENT, General Medicine and 11-11 seats in General Surgery, 8 in Gynecology and 7 seats in Anesthesiology have been increased. More than Rs 92 crore will be spent on these.
