Bikram Singh, director of the Zonal Meteorological Center said that In Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital and Bageshwar There is a possibility of heavy rain even today and passengers have been instructed to be alert. The Meteorological Department has forecast that from tomorrow the weather will be clear in the whole of Uttarakhand. Here, due to the closure of a large number of highways and rural roads in the mountains, travelers are stranded from place to place. The second problem is that pictures of children taking risks to go to school are also emerging due to road blockade.

Due to rain in Tehri district, 10 rural roads as well as one state highway are closed. Here, the Badrinath National Highway is again closed on this week’s pattern. In Langasu and Lambagad near Karnprayag, this road came to a standstill due to debris coming on the road. The work of opening which is going on since late Friday night. Due to incessant rains and landslides in the hills in Chamoli district, the Badrinath Highway has been stalled since late night. Earlier yesterday, a 10-metre road on this highway was washed away by the drain.

Due to heavy rain overnight in Uttarkashi district too, Gangotri Highway was closed near Sukhi. Sukhi Nala in spate brought a large amount of debris and stones, due to which There were piles of rubble at four places on the Gangotri Highway. Passengers and local people got stuck at places since morning due to closure of the road. BRO machines were busy in opening NH. For a long time, villagers have been demanding the construction of a bridge at this strategically important place as well as the treatment of Sukhi Nala, but whatever the claims of the administration, the reality is that this road is in bad shape.

Ganga near danger mark in Rishikesh

Due to the continuous rain in the mountains, the rainy river drains including the Ganges are in spate.
