The start of the match was delayed by 37 minutes due to fan commotion, which Real Madrid won 1-0. The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), which governs the tournament, said that the matter was caused by thousands of fans buying fake tickets. Although he did not specify which team the fans belonged to, he expressed his “extreme dismay” at the security concerns experienced by his fans.

During this, the police and security guards forcibly caught the fans trying to enter the ground and took them out. Colm Lacy, a fan, said, ‘The children are crying, people are stuck in the crowd. People are trying to break the line and enter the stadium. A fan named Angela Murphy said, we have been standing here since 6.15 pm. I have asthma and the tear gas shell has made my condition worse. During this, some policemen and security guards also came in the grip of tear gas and for some time their condition became unconscious.
